  1. 061120; CodGiaVsql310b24 has been posted. This fixes a system crash when attempting to conceal the Finns.
  2. 061101: The COD_US extension, created to give GIA US units for COI scenarios such as WG220; is now obsolete. All units in that extension are now in the CodGiaVsql3v10B21.mdx which is now posted on the VSQL Vassal site. All british, allied neutral, french and GIA american units are included with selected guns/vehicles to support specific scenarios. These are found in the menu under Units/COD or Units/GIA. This extension is specific to VSQL3. Specific units (i.e Finns) will be added; specific guns/vehicles to support play of a favortie COD/GIA scenario can be requested.
  3. 060828: David VanBronkhorst sweeps the triple crown of SQL Major events! BPA 2006 World Boardgame Championships SQL Series Tournament, and the two BPA single elimination PBEM events (both SQL and COI) which concluded this year.
  4. 060827: David VanBronkhorst (VA) defeated Scott Powers in the round 4 finals to claim the 2004 Boardgame Player Association CROSS OF IRON PBEM event on August 24, 2006. Game went to the last die roll. Summary.
  5. 060704: Tournament information and Scenario List for the SQL Series tournament (8/5-6/06) within the World Boardgame Champions hips in Lancaster, PA. See WBC info within the Boardgame Player Association site.
  6. 0604513: David VanBronkhorst (VA) defeated John Blazel (WI) in the round 5 finals to claim the 2004 Boardgame Player Association SQUAD LEADER crown on January 17, 2006. Twenty six entrants participated representing eight countries. Summary.
  7. 060412: Their is one active COI tournament, two scenario playtest tournaments (SQL and COI level) in progress; the COD and GIA events are suspended pending the release of VCOD. As the 2004 BPA SQL tournament has been completed, a replacement event is being formulated.
  8. 0603322: The compiled SQL series Questions & Answers has been updated to the2004 edition. The 2006 edition is the current top SQL project. Assistance by HTML skilled person is sought.
  9. 060310: The SQLA softcopy SQL4th and COI4th rulebooks have been updated using VSQL graphics and submitted to MMP for future public access on their website. These items were delivered to MMP on 3/10/06; no update from MMP has been provided.
  10. 060230: The premier Squad Leader Series tournament, the 2006 World Boardgaming Championships, will be held on Saturday August 5 at Lancaster PA. SQLA will administrate.
  11. 060105: The SQLA 2006 CROSS OF IRON PBEM Tournament was launched 05Jan2006 with 12 players; currently starting round 3.
  12. 050315: The stand alone version of VSQL 3.1 (with inherent VASSAL1.9.9) is the standard interface for Server and PBEM play of Squad Leader Series. SQLA is the trustee of the VSQL module. Contact SQLA to communicate any VSQL issues, questions or concerns.
  13. 051230: The CODGIA extent ion concept has been replaced by a VCOD module. This will enable COD and GIA level play and not contain the obsolete SQL and unnecessary COI components. In addition to all components being fully editable (not true using extension concept), it will be able to use the new capabilities now inherit to the latest version of VASSAL. Target delivery date is 4Q2006.
  14. Continue to send all VSQL 3.x scenario start files to both Alan Page and Bill Thomson.
  15. Continue to send all match results to Allen Evenson for inclusion into the PREASL scenario record. Include scenario played and the winning side.
