Furnes, Belgium, June 1, 1940: Having
established a defensive line along the Bergues-Furnes Canal, the 2nd Coldstream
Guards and the 5th Borderers Regiment await the coming German onslaught. Armed
to the teeth with supplies scrounged and scavenges from allied wrecks across the
canal, they were far from the disorganized rabble that the Germans expected.
VICTORY CONDITIONS: The German player must occupy buildings
14H9 and 14S9, or have more unbroken squads on board 14 than the British by
the end of turn 7. Half squad may be combined fin the final total. Any other
result is a British win. To occupy, there must be no unbroken British MMC (squads,
halfsquads or crews) in the building and there must be at be at one unbroken
  German MMC present therein.

SPECIAL SCENARIO RULES: (By designer's intention, this scenario may be
played without the overlays at the COD rules level)
  - OAF 42.2.1: TERRIAN: Stone walls on board 11 are hedges
for all purposes. All single woods hexes adjacent to the canal are Marsh.

level (0). There is no wind at start.

  - OAF 42.2.2: BRIDGES: Place infantry brides (133.8)
between hexes 14I10/iiY10 and 14Q10/11Q10. A wooden one lane vehicular bridge

    133.85 do NOT apply.

AFTERMATH: Despite ingenuity
in scrounging equipment and establishing their defensive position along the
canal, the British were force to withdraw further into the Dunkirk perimeter.
Their bitter defense bought the beleaguered British Expeditionary Force a bit
  more time to evacuate
