East of the Zhitomir-Korosten Road, December 6, 1942: At 0600, units of the 1st and 7th Panzer Divisions and the SS Panzer Division 'Liebstandarte' crosse the Zhitomir-Korosten Road. To the surprise of the Soviet forces, these units mad great progress, slashing deep behind the Russian from lines. The Soviet 60th Army, as a rear guard unit and that was not quite ready for battle, lay in the path of these advancing panzers.

VICTORY CONDITIONS: The German player receives three victory point for each function AFV exited off the east edge of the map and two points for each controlled hill (Hill 522 at hex 3W6, Hill 498 at hex 3DD2 and HIll 538 at 2BB5). This is a possibly total of 27 points. The Russian player receives one point for each building controlled on board s2 and 3 (total of 27) and one pont for each German AFV not exited off the east edge of the map. This is a possible total of 34 points. two win, the German player must have a greater point total than the Russians.

AFTERMATH: Soviet radio communications became frantic. "Report at once where the enemy comes from, Your message is unbelievable." The commanding officer of the 60th Army replied, "Ask teh Devil's Grandmother! How should I know where the enemy comes from?" This clear showed ht poor position this unit was in. With the close support of the 8th Fliegerkorps, whose Air Liaison Officer road in a armored car with the lead tanks, the German armored forces decimate the Soviet infantry. By noon, the Soviet army headquarters went off the air. The German forces continued to the Teterev river, pocketing Soviet forces fro Pischanka to Radomyshl.
