THE VILLAGE OF FLAVION, NEAR PHILLIPVILLE, BELGIUM,
  May 15, 1940: Following the 7th Panzer Division, Hartlieb's 5th Panzer
crossed the Meuse River at Dinant. Both divisions then set out to expand their
breakout. At Flavion they encountered the French 1st Armored Division, which
was refueling. While Rommel led his division in a hooking movement, the 5th
Panzer Division made for the enemy.

       |
The German must eliminate twice as many units
as he loses. The French wins by avoiding this situation. AFVs with crews
eliminated count as 2, otherwise they count as one.  For VC
purposes an abandoned AFV is considered eliminated.  |

the French player rolls two dice. The total is the number of French tanks
that may not move during French turn one. Starting French turn two, all French
tanks may move normally. Firing ability is not affected.

AFTERMATH: The green
French tankers were overcome by panic. During the confusion the German gunners
ripped apart the town, leaving it in a blaze. When General Bruneau's division
limped off the battlefield that night, it only had 17 tanks left out of 175.
The only unit capable of checking the advance of the XV Panzerkorps had been
  virtually destroyed.
