  1. 090526: The 2009 Squad Leader Series tournament will officially start on Saturday 8and conclude on Sunday August 9within the 2009 World Boardgame Championships in Lancaster, PA.. Up to two rounds can be played in advance during the week. (Bill Thomson will be on site as of Saturday August 2 in the Grognard room). SGT Thomson will be the focus for the Pollard Memorial plaque. Dethroning Eric Stranger for the top spot is also a worthy goal..
  2. 090526: The 2009 SQUAD LEADER Series single elimination tournament is being organized within BPA procedures.
  3. 090526: Vassal organized VSQL play now standardized on VSQL 4.1.
  4. 090710: A new Squad Leader Series PBEM ladder has been formed as the SLlist ladder has been inactive since Feb 2006. See the ROSTER menu tab at left.
  5. 080726: The 2008 Squad Leader Series tournament will officially start on Saturday 9 and conclude on Sunday August 10 within the 2008 World Boardgame Championships in Lancaster, PA. . Up to two rounds can be played in advance during the week. (Bill Thomson will be on site as of Saturday August 2 in the Grognard room). SGT Sharp will be the focus for the Pollard Memorial plaque. Tournament documentation is posted.
  6. 080725: New SQL Series PBEM play has been organized to accommodate players at all levels SQL-GIA. This is primarily a scenario play test event to generate history on new and little played scenarios as noted in the scenario record. Additionally it will serve as a play test for VSQL4.
  7. 080605: VSQL4 which runs on the latest VASSAL 3.x will now be the default interface for all future SQLA remote play. VSQL3 had been tied to VASSAL 1.99 which has the fatal flaw of an inherent memory leak leading to runtime errors.
  8. 071008: The Squad Leader Series tournament was held at WBC 2008 on August 4-5 in Lancaster, PA. A total of 21 participants complied 24 games representing 70 hours of play. John Sharp earned the Best PLC plaque with a net elan of 25 elan and a 9-2 rank after four games. No Pollard Memorial plaque was awarded as the 2006 PLC winner survived play in 2007. ; Bill Thomson earned second first place championship.
  9. 060828: David VanBronkhorst sweeps the triple crown of SQL Major events! BPA 2006 World Boardgame Championships SQL Series Tournament, and the two BPA single elimination PBEM events (both SQL and COI) which concluded this year.
  10. 060310: The SQLA softcopy SQL4th and COI4th rulebooks have been updated using VSQL graphics and submitted to MMP for future public access on their website. These items were delivered to MMP on 3/10/06; no update from MMP has been provided. MMP remains idle with regard to SQUAL LEADER series.
  11. Continue to send all VSQL 3.x scenario start files to both Alan Page and Bill Thomson.
  12. Continue to send all match results to Allen Evenson for inclusion into the PREASL scenario record. Include scenario played and the winning side.
  13. Continue to send all SList ladder match starts and status to Alan Yngve
  14. Continue to send all SLlist administration and subscriptions to Eric Pass.
